Sinterklaas is one of the shortest but most intense peak periods of the year for florists and gift shops. Three weeks of demand, with the peak in the last week before December 5th. The collection is designed to efficiently serve that peak: ready-made decorative elements and gift packaging, no loose custom work.
What can you find in this collection?
The focus is on decorative figures and gift packaging materials. Everything is immediately salable without requiring assembly.
- Piet figures: 25 cm (on string) and 50 cm (per piece), assorted glossy. Classic Piet shapes for window display decoration or as a separate gift item.
- Metal sticks: 8 cm, in gold and silver. Box of 100 pieces. For florists who use small sticks in bouquets and gift packaging.
- Lucky Sinterklaas small: box of 100 pieces. Mini figures for gift packaging or as "something small" with a gift.
- Gift cards: packs of 12 with variations of "greetings from Sint and Piet" and "lots of greetings from Sint and Piet". For quick gift wrapping.
- Gift card display: 60 cards in 5 motifs per display. For florists and gift shops with higher turnover during the peak.
When does demand peak?
Roughly between November 15th and December 4th. The last week before 'Pakjesavond' (Gift-giving evening) is the most intense period. It is preferable to purchase in August-September. Late purchasing is risky due to limited product supply in November. For smaller shops: one display with 60 cards plus two boxes of sticks and one set of Piet figures covers most demand.
For which target group?
Florists: core customers. Sinterklaas bouquets with a Piet figure and a few gold/silver sticks are a classic concept. Popular as a gift for colleagues, neighbours, or children's teachers. Gift shops: the gift cards and lucky Sinterklaas figures work for customers who need to quickly wrap a gift with a specific Sinterklaas look.
How do you position Sinterklaas in your store?
One corner or table, with all Sinterklaas items together. Clear visual separation from the Christmas items (which are sold at the same time). The Piet figures on string are ideal for hanging on a display rack as a visual signal that "the Sinterklaas corner starts here". For cross-selling: gift tags, ribbons, stickers with Sinterklaas texts for complete gift purchases. For the Christmas peak that immediately follows Sinterklaas: Christmas decorations, Christmas ornaments.
