Jute is one of those materials that you need in almost every flower shop and rarely consciously keep track of. Until it runs out. The collection is designed to prevent that problem: standard sizes, standard colors, always in stock.
What will you find in the collection?
Three main forms: rope, ribbon, and wide roll material. Each in different thicknesses, widths, and colors.
- Jute tying twine: on spool or ball, from thin (0.5 cm) to substantial (2 cm). For tying bouquets, wreaths, and decorations.
- Jute ribbon (5 cm and 15 cm wide): on a roll, natural or colored. For finishing bouquets, gifts, and decorative elements.
- Jute net (net ribbon): pack of 6 rolls. For decorative layers in floral arrangements or for wrapping gifts without completely enclosing them.
- Colored jute rolls: red, olive, sage, taupe, medium brown. For when natural jute is too "earthy" and a subtle color accent is needed.
- Bale formats: for large buyers, such as 270 mtr rolls. More efficient price per meter.
When do you need jute?
Half the year always, the other half in waves. Florists use jute year-round for rustic bouquets and farmhouse-style compositions. Around autumn and Christmas, demand peaks, when jute perfectly matches the warm earthy tones of those seasons. Around Easter and spring, demand for the colored variants (olive, sage) increases. For DIY customers and craft shops: jute is used for cards, packaging, decorative labels, and garden decorations.
Why jute and not something synthetic?
Two reasons: appearance and durability. Jute has a matte, natural appearance that synthetic twine cannot replicate. It combines with all natural materials (wood, pottery, dried flowers). How to stock jute smartly?
Focus on the three most used formats: 5 cm natural roll, thin tying twine (around 1 cm thick), and one colored variant that matches your store's style. For larger florists and binders: the bale formats offer a better price per meter and are logistically easier than six individual spools. Combine purchasing with binding material, floristry items, or natural materials.
